Team Bio - Tom Eckel
Senior undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at University of California Riverside. His concentration is Nanotechnology and his focus is Air Pollution Engineering. He currently conducts research at Bourns College of Engineering Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) and fabricates tiles at Bourns College of Engineering. Thomas is passionate about air quality as well as sustainable engineering. He has served as the AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) at UCR chapter External Outreach Manager and the Student Veteran Organization at Marymount California University chapter president.
Team Bio - Nina Nester
Senior undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at University of California Riverside. Her concentration is Nanotechnology. She currently conducts research at the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) which focuses on reducing concentration of air pollutants. Nina is passionate about the environment as well as the advancement of sustainability through technology.
Team Bio - Tia Borja
Senior undergraduate student at University of California, Riverside studying Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Nanotechnology. She is interested in conducting research in her design team for the advancement of technology and sustainability efforts, and she is eager to learn more within the field of Materials Science and Nanomaterials. She currently serves as UCR's Materials Research Society (MRS) chapter president and is a peer tutor at UCR's Academic Resource Center.
